Self-Guided Figure Drawing the last Sunday of every month! **In March we scheduled the session to be March 24th instead of the 31st because of Easter Sunday!

From 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm including a group-guided critique

Geneva Stage, 244 Broad St. Lake Geneva, WI

**We share a building with the Tap House - so when facing the building we are the double doors on the left.

Welcome! We are excited you are here! Whether you’re an experienced artist or a novice, this event will be an opportunity to expand your figure drawing skills.

Below is information for the artists and then the models. You must be 18 years or older.

Artists:

-Enter through the double doors and there will be a bar in the main entrance with a box for a $15 fee for each session to be paid in cash or Venmo - this payment helps with paying for the model, planning and supplies and there will be a tip jar as tipping will be optional. If it is your first time there will also be an agreement form to fill out as well. In the agreement form we will request for your email and that is meant to be used for communication including cancelation, please check your email before each session in case of cancelation. Free parking: November 15 - January 31. If you would like to avoid paying for parking there is often free parking on Cook St. Madison St. which are both just a few blocks away. Below I’ve attached a parking map.

-Try to arrive on time as this will help with little to no distraction for models and artists. Modeling will take place inside the theater on the stage itself, and there will be chairs and limited supply of drawing horses available for use.

-Although it is called a “figure drawing session” you are welcome to use any medium, all supplies including drawing boards, iPads, pencils, pens, paper, charcoal etc. will be your responsibility (No paints allowed at this time). These are self-guided sessions and poses will vary in time each session but generally they will start at 1 minute to 15 minutes for the first half and the second half they will be 25 minutes. Because the poses in the first half are shorter in time, they may be more complex poses from the model and are meant to be a warm-up by sketching and practicing the anatomy of the figure. The longer poses in the second half will be simpler poses from the model and this is when you can slow down and focus on detail.

-No photography allowed and you must be 18 years or older. First-timers will need to sign an agreement document which will be made available for you by Chloe. In the agreement form we will request for your email and that is meant to be used for communication including cancelation.

Nude/Partially Clothed Models:

-Models will be paid $25 an hour cash and there will be a tip jar available for attendees to tip.

-Any age 18 or older and body type are welcomed and encouraged! The more diversity we have the better! We are looking for models who are able to stand/sit still for long periods of time.

-There will be an agreement form to sign which will be made available for you by Chloe. In the agreement form we will request for your email and that is meant to be used for communication including cancelation, please check your email before each session in case of cancelation.

-There will be props available that you will be able to pose with, on, or around such as chairs, lamps, blankets etc. Poses will vary in time with each session but generally they will start at 1 minute to 15 minutes for the first half and will be able to decide on those poses and because they are shorter in time, you will be encouraged to pose with more complexity. The second half they will be 25 minutes and these are meant to be simpler poses and will be directed more collaboratively. Chloe will be in charge of the time, so when the timer goes off that means you will change poses. There will be a brief break in-between the first and the second half and that is when you are encouraged to stretch, drink water, use the restroom etc.
